Pottery mark "U" - 40's Donald Duck Dish

I have a Donald Duck child's divided dish in pink. The head comes off and you put warm water in the dish to keep the food warm. It has a "u" on the back. Just wondering who the manufacturer was for this piece. It dates back to the 1940's.
