Mark that has a "P" at the bottom????

by Rachel
(Seattle Wa)

I have a ringed bowl that appears Bauer like with small rings. It is yellow, a large mixing bowl and heavy and has a crackle finish. I think it is from the USA but not sure. The mark looks like a stamp or picture of a short urn and at the bottom there is a capital P. The tail of the P intersects the bottom of the urn at a 90 degree angle. Please help me, this is driving me nuts :). Thank you so much.

I think Pfaltzgraf like many other pottery companies made pieces that looked Bauer like.

I found my own answer finally
by: Rachel

The mark that I was trying to find is Pfaltzgraf of York, PA and this mark is from the 1930s. Any one know about value? I can find very little regarding vintage mixing bowl value. I think Pfaltzgraf like many other pottery companies made pieces that looked Bauer like. Recently I found a bowl, labeled as Bauer in an antique mall with the small rings priced for $245 and the bottom mark was also the Pfalzgraf P. If it was really Bauer this would be a fair price but it is not. Please comment if you have any information about Pfalzgraf and value. Thank you.
