Interesting White Vase - Art Deco? (photo)

This was my mother's vase which she just gave me. I can remember her having all my childhood and I am now 57 yrs old. She is 83 married 60 yrs and doesn't remember when she received it(wedding gift?).It hs very faint markings on the bottom - I can make out USA and looks like the letters SOLO or perhap they are numbers..looks to be inscribed in the greenware before the glaze was applied and fired. It is 13.5" tall and appears to have gold imbedded in the glaze....any clues would be great. Thanks
