Horse Shoe w/ Blue 6 Pottery Mark (old crock)

I recently purchased a two toned, brown & white crock. It has a horse shoe marking in blue, with a blue 6 inside the horse shoe. I am trying to find out the origins of this piece, any ideas on its maker? This is the first time I have seen the horse shoe stamp.
