A VASE
This somewhat oval shaped vase measures; 10” at highest point with a 21 ½ “ maximum circumference, tear drop shaped opening approx. (4” X 3 ½ “), there are three, what appears to be, tentacles extending down from the opening, three winged children with leaf skirts that terminates into a blooming plant, accompanied by a stork type bird, appear on each side. A baby standing on a pedestal with two male lions on either side of the base is accompanied by other characters which appear in a green circular background on the front. Two centaurs blowing horns while sitting on a compote type platform are pictured at the bottom. The color, detail and glaze are outstanding with potters intentionally crazing throughout.
