Help ID Early Pottery Mark - M over R in Shield

I have an early (I think) pottery pitcher. I can't find any info about the mark on the bottom. It's an M over an R inside a shield sort of mark. It also has the numbers 32298/01.
I've attached a photo of both the pitcher and the bottom marks.

Mine looks exactly the same as picture above but is a mug and I've been drinking tea out of it for a month I'm a little concerned

My Blue Pitcher With M over R NEW

I also have a similar pitcher in light blue with blue marks. On bottom has same M over R mark and the number 3061. Near top of side of pitcher is a two letter signature... 2 U's.
